Giving All Without Reserve

“Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died.  His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.”  Deuteronomy 34:7

If anyone should have been worn out, it would have been Moses.  Most of his life was one of travel, leadership, and prayer under the most difficult of circumstances…not to mention writing the first books of the Old Testament.  Have you ever noticed that quite often the Lord’s servants who live in the most challenging circumstances, without access to modern “self-care” therapies have often lived very long and productive lives?  Mother Teresa thrived among the diseased and dying, in simplicty of diet.  Just reviewing Bulter’s Lives of the Saints, I am surprised at how many of them ( some with their own struggles and ill health)  lived so very long with few of the advantages we have today.  I am encouraged by them to give of my body without reserve.  If I am well, I can get up early or burn some midnight oil if the my Lord asks it of me.  He upholds us.
